# Set Main Character

**What to type?:** \
!set \[character name]\
!set \[character name] \[surname]\
!setcharacter \[character name]\
!setcharacter \[character name] \[surname]\
\
**Result:** \
Setting passed character (as a name in the attributes) as a main character. While character is in the "Main" state it provides buffs. You can read all the buffs on your [profile ](/eremite/discord-bot/commands/profile.md)or when you pull a character.\
\
**Example:** \
!set signora\
!setcharacter sig\
!set bonanus\
!setcharacter unknown god\
!setcharacter god

**NOTE:** Character provide buffs only when in Main slot, otherwise if thats not mentioned in the buff info it is not working. You can swap-n-switch all the characters sine they dont have cooldowns on switching.
